This piece nods towards expressionist landscapes, using bold colours and sharp lines to map out the view of a view of a town or a village. Despite the sharp distinctions between the focal points of the scenery, the overall effect is a hazy one, with soft blues and purples making for a dreamlike, reposeful painting.
